Anterior Longitudinal Ligament Injury

This is a DMX demonstration of a stretching (sub-failure) of an anterior longitudinal ligament. There is also a retrolisthesis of vertebra C5 on C6. That means vertebra C5 became displaced and moved backward on C6.

Posterior Longitudinal Ligament Injury

This is a DMX demonstration of a stretching (sub-failure) of a posterior longitudinal ligament. There is also an anterolisthesis of vertebra C5 on C6. This means vertebra C5 became displaced and slipped forward on C6.

Capsular Ligament Injury

This is a DMX demonstration of a stretching (sub-failure) of a capsular ligament. There is facet gapping of vertebrae C6 and C7.

Interspinous Ligament Injury

This is a DMX demonstration of a stretching (sub-failure) of an interspinous ligament. There is an increased separation of the spinous processes at vertebrae C4-C5 and C5-C6.

Transverse Ligament Injury

This is a DMX demonstration of a stretching (sub-failure) of a transverse ligament. There is forward movement (anterior translation) of vertebra C1 on C2 creating an increase in the atlanto-dental interspace (ADI).
